Dr. Anil Nanda Presents at World Federation of Neurological Societies
The 14th WFNS held in Brazil

Dr. Anil Nanda, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Sciences Center - Shreveport, spoke at World Federation of Neurological Societies (WFNS) in Porto De Galinhas Beach in Pernambuco, Brazil. The fourteenth WFNS was held on September 13th through 17th, 2011.


Dr. Nanda delivered the following two presentations: “Giant Intracranial Aneurysms: Operative Nuances and Outcome,” and “Transcondylar Approach: how I do it and indications.”  He discussed the anatomy and indication of using the far lateral approach and covered giant aneurysm complications in neurosurgery through pictures and videos.


Dr. Nanda is the Society of University Neurosurgeons representative for WFNS. Founded in 1955, WFNS is a professional, scientific, non-governmental organization comprising 5 Continental Associations, 103 National Neurosurgical Societies, and 6 Affiliate Societies, representing some 30,000 neurosurgeons worldwide.
