Dr. Anil Nanda, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Sciences Center, was invited as Visiting Professor at Dartmouth University in Hanover, New Hampshire on February 1, 2013.
The Louisiana Board of Regents has approved funding for a $1 million endowed chair and two $100,000 professorships at LSU Health Shreveport. The Chair recognizes Dr. Donald Smith, who established the first Neurosurgical Service at the university in 1977, while still in private practice. He joined the university faculty full time in 1996 and helped develop the residency training program.
Dr. Anil Nanda, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Shreveport, was honored at the 7th Annual Central European Neurosurgical Meeting (CENS), held June 13th through 15th in Prague, Czech Republic. The CENS recognized Dr. Anil Nanda as an Honorary Member of the CENS, the highest honor the society can give a neurosurgeon.
Dr. Anil Nanda, Chairman and Professor of the Department of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Sciences Center, was invited to speak as this year’s Visiting Professor for the Dr. Richard L. DeSaussure Jr. Memorial Neurosurgery Lectureship Series in Memphis, Tennessee on May 3-4, 2012.
Dr. Anil Nanda, Chairman and Professor of the Department of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Sciences Center, was the honored guest speaker at the 10th Congress of the Spanish Society of Skull Base Surgery in Madrid, Spain on April 18-21, 2012. Dr. Nanda presented on “Skull Base Surgery: Aristeia and Anarchy” and “Skull Base Aneurysms: What Would Don Quixote Do?”
